Procurement Manager – Regional Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for a contract opportunity based in regional NSW. This role is responsible for managing procurement and stores operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
The Procurement Manager will lead the delivery of best practice procurement processes, working closely with internal stakeholders to support procurement planning, sourcing, tendering, and contract management across a range of projects;

... - Overseeing all aspects of procurement and stores activities to drive value for money and operational excellence.
- Executing and monitoring the Procurement Strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Leading procurement planning, sourcing, evaluation and contract formation across a wide range of projects and categories.
- Providing high-quality procurement advice and support to all business units in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to tailor procurement strategies that mitigate risk and deliver measurable value.
- Managing tenders and bids, including the development of specifications and performance-based criteria.
- Building and nurturing strategic supplier relationships and negotiating beneficial outcomes.
- Leading cross-functional teams and managing performance to ensure delivery of procurement objectives.
- Driving improvements in systems, processes, compliance, and the use of ERP technology for contract and purchasing functions.
- Overseeing inventory and stores functions, ensuring best practice in inventory management.
- Applying risk management principles, conducting contract audits, and supporting strategic decision-making with robust procurement analysis.
- Supporting and coaching the team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
What you will need to apply:
- Degree qualifications in procurement, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle management across a diverse organisation.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing best practice procurement strategies, ideally in government or similar sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse and interpret procurement and risk data to drive decision-making.
- Proven ability to streamline systems and ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Experience managing teams, setting performance standards, and driving continuous improvement.
