The Randstad national procurement, contracts and supply chain team is currently partnering with leading organisations to secure exceptional talent for some of Australia’s national defence initiatives and key government divisions.
Based in Adelaide, we are seeking experienced Procurement & Contract Managers for both contract and permanent roles in defence and government.
As a Procurement & Contracts Manager, you will:
- Strategically engage with commonwealth and key technical stakeholders to accurately define scope, ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct all sourcing, project and contract activities with the highest level of probity and integrity.
- Initiating new supplier agreements, renegotiation of existing contracts particularly in relation to services procurement.
- Be accountable for developing processes, procedures and tools as well as documenting, implementing and managing Commercial Agreements.
- Share your knowledge with the wider procurement and contracts team, acting as a divisional touch-point for commercial expertise and best practice.
- Encourage best practice and provide advice to staff on policy, procedures, and procurement process/tools.
- Develop and maintain existing supplier relationships in a commercial environment.
- Source and extract additional value throughout the contract life-cycle.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business Management, Commerce, Procurement or related discipline beneficial but not essential.
- A minimum of 8-10 years experience in a sourcing category procurement or commercial role.
- Significant experience in negotiating, managing and developing complex contracts including resolution of highly complex issues to achieve a positive commercially focused outcome.
- Extensive experience in drafting agreements and managing commercial risk.
- Autonomous, goal directed and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication and possess excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Capable of developing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
