About the role:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for payroll and HRIS systems based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Execute thorough testing to evaluate functionality, accuracy, and performance across various scenarios and configurations.
- Identify, document, and prioritise defects and inconsistencies in payroll and HRIS software, ensuring meticulous reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the payroll team, People Team, software technicians, and systems support teams, including Wipro stakeholders, to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
- Support the significant backlog of over 100 tickets related to the recent S4Hana launch, ensuring timely resolution and system stability.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and identify areas for process improvement within payroll.
- Maintain test environments, tools, and documentation, contributing to ongoing testing activities and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute significantly to setting up new environments, configuring new wage types, and establishing automations within the SAP/Spinifex system.
- Support End of Year (EOY) legislative changes through a robust testing regime.
- Play a key role in extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new modifications.
About you:
- Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or payroll administration, preferably within a regulated environment.
- Strong applied experience with SAP (specifically S4Hana Cloud) and SuccessFactors systems is essential. Experience with Spinifex is a plus.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies, test automation tools, and defect tracking systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements, identify dependencies, and perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of key payroll legislation is highly regarded.
