This 8 month fixed term contract Payroll Officer role provides you with the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive payroll team, working for a high performing and well known FMCG company based in Sydney Olympic Park.
You will report into an experienced, warm and engaging Payroll Manager and will be offered excellent opportunities to assist with payroll projects too, outside of BAU.
The 8 month FTC Payroll Officer position is based in Sydney Olympic Park close to public transport and offers flexible working from home and the office (2-3 days in the office). The salary offering is between $85,000 - $95,000 + super depending on experience.
About the Role
You will join the dynamic payroll team as an experienced Payroll Officer. You will be supported in the role and working alongside other Payroll Officers who are familiar with working in a high volume (2,000+ employees) fast paced environment. You will complete the end to end payroll processing using Chris21 and knowledge of Dayforce would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- End to end payroll processing for 2,000 + employees on a weekly & fortnightly basis using Chris21.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant industry awards and stay up to day with any changes to legislation.
- Preparation of monthly payroll reports and end of year processing.
- Preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions.
- Managing superannuation, leave entitlement and payments.
- Liaise with ATO on any issues.
- Answering all payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- 3+ years of previous experience processing end to end payroll is expected.
- Knowledge and experience using Chris21 and/ or Dayforce is highly regarded but not essential to the role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Ability to interpret awards and legislation.
- Being able to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
