Our client is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to provide short-term support to our HR team. This opportunity is ideal for someone experienced in full payroll cycle management and who can hit the ground running in a dynamic organisation.
About the Role:
In this role, you'll manage the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse workforce, including Rostered Day Workers. You will also contribute to general HR and administration functions within a small but collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate and timely fortnightly payroll using iChris Pay21 or a similar payroll system
Interpret and apply relevant award conditions, including fixed loading arrangements
Manage payroll inputs from the optima rostering system
Support HR processes such as leave management, reporting, records maintenance, and onboarding
Provide professional advice to employees and managers on pay-related matters
Assist with general administrative support within the People & Culture team
About You:
Proven experience in managing the full pay cycle
Comfortable using iChris Pay21, Optima, or similar HR/payroll systems
Strong attention to detail and understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
Flexible, self-driven, and able to work effectively across onsite and remote environments
