Randstad is currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join the head office of a well-known and growing retail sporting and surf brand in Burleigh Heads. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment, providing high-level finance, procurement, and administrative support.
You’ll be working as part of a payroll team of four, supporting the payroll function for up to 1,500 employees. This is a temporary part-time role for 3 days per week (Wednesday to Friday) over a 3–4 month period, starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage high-volume end-to-end payroll for up to 1,500 employees across multiple locations.
Deliver timely and accurate payroll services in line with company policies and relevant legislation.
Support finance operations including operational costing, financial reporting, and project-related admin tasks.
Manage procurement and payment processes, including requisitions, ordering, and vendor payments.
Provide responsive, professional support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring operational goals are met.
What We’re Looking For:
Immediately available
Previous experience working in a payroll team managing large staff numbers
Experience using Micropay (or similar payroll systems) and solid knowledge of Excel is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
