This permanent Payroll Manager role provides you with the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive business, working for a high performing national organisation operating within the construction sector.
You will report into an experienced and knowledgeable Accountant, supporting the wider business when needed.
This Payroll Manager position is a standalone role where you will focus on processing Weekly payroll for approx 400 staff across NSW & QLD. The role is located in Prestons NSW, parking available for all staff. The role offers flexible working from home and the office (after probationary period). The salary offering is between $90,000 - $100,000 +super depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll processing for approx 400 employees on a weekly basis using the Cheops payroll & related T&A system.
- Setting up new starters, amending / updating employee information, answering payroll queries, processing terminations, Super payments, payroll tax, timesheet processing, etc.
- Working closely with the workers compensation team to make relevant payments.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant industry awards and stay up to day with any changes to legislation.
- Answering all payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- 5 + years of previous payroll experience is preferred.
- Experience working within the construction industry would be beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
- Being able to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
