Randstad are pleased to be partnering with our client who are currently in the exciting start-up phase of their business. They are seeking a Payroll Manager to join their business on a full-time and permanent basis and take ownership of the payroll function while managing two junior direct reports.

About the role:
Reporting directly into the Chief People Officer the Payroll Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day payroll operations along with the leadership of the payroll team. Your key duties will include:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for all employees
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports as required
- Oversee payroll software/systems implementation and upgrades
- Collaborate with external vendor to resolve payroll system issues
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Implement and maintain internal controls related to payroll processes
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
About you:
You possess true end-to-end payroll knowledge and have experience as a Payroll Manager or Team Leader. You may also be a Senior Payroll Officer with experience working as a 2IC and be ready to take the next step into a management role. Additionally, you have:
- 7+ years of experience in payroll
- A proactive approach to your work and willingness to take ownership of the payroll function
- Full and unlimited Australian working rights
