About the Role
Our client is an education institution based in Dandenong VIC. They are currently seeking a Payroll Business Partner to come in and join their team on a 3 month temp contract with possible extensions.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Relevant degree and relevant experience or less formal qualification with substantial experience and specialist expertise.
- Proven high volume end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Proven extensive knowledge and experience in the operation of a large in-house payroll, preferably processing payroll with CHRIS21.
- Previous government experience (Highly desirable)
Key responsibilities will include:
Superannuation Compliance: Manage SuperStream and Payday Super compliance, coordinate all contributions, and facilitate staff information sessions with superannuation funds.
HRIS & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate employee records in CHRIS21, conduct data audits, and implement process improvements to ensure reporting accuracy and system integrity.
Stakeholder Support: Provide expert payroll and superannuation advice to all staff and the PC&S team, ensuring high-quality customer service across the organization.
Operational Efficiency: Streamline payroll operations by updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enhancing system configurations to maximize efficiency.
Specialist Functions & Reporting: Coordinate complex payroll tasks, including Eligible Termination Payments (ETPs), tax reporting, and the establishment of new starter details.
Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and motivate the payroll team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a professional, respectful work culture.
Governance & Safety: Ensure adherence to OHS policies and Child Safe Standards, while deputising for the Payroll Manager and supporting the Social Justice Charter.
About You
You will be an experienced Payroll Business Partner with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Relevant degree and relevant experience or less formal qualification with substantial experience and specialist expertise.
- Proven high volume end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Proven extensive knowledge and experience in the operation of a large in-house payroll, preferably processing payroll with CHRIS21.
- Previous government experience (Highly desirable)
