About the Role
Our client is an education institution based in Dandenong VIC. They are currently seeking a Payroll Business Partner to come in and join their team on a 3 month temp contract with possible extensions.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Relevant degree and relevant experience or less formal qualification with substantial experience and specialist expertise.
- Proven high volume end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Proven extensive knowledge and experience in the operation of a large in-house payroll, preferably processing payroll with CHRIS21.
- Previous government experience (Highly desirable)
Key responsibilities will include:
- Stakeholder Support & Customer Service: Provide expert payroll and superannuation advice to employees, management, and the PCS team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Superannuation & Legislative Compliance: Coordinate employer and employee superannuation contributions, ensuring strict compliance with SuperStream, Payday Super, and legislative deadlines.
- Payroll Administration & System Updates: Manage new starter setups in CHRIS21 (salaries, allowances, deductions) and update the Paytime timesheet system to reflect agreement changes.
- HRIS Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain accurate staff records within the HRIS and generate regular reports for the Payroll Manager to highlight data discrepancies and trends.
- Process Optimisation & System Reforms: Streamline payroll operations, update standard operating procedures, and support continuous system improvements and annual end-of-year processing.
- Team Culture & Professionalism: Foster a respectful workplace aligned with the Social Justice Charter, while executing ad-hoc projects and duties directed by leadership.
About You
You will be an experienced Payroll Business Partner with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Relevant degree and relevant experience or less formal qualification with substantial experience and specialist expertise.
- Proven high volume end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Proven extensive knowledge and experience in the operation of a large in-house payroll, preferably processing payroll with CHRIS21.
- Previous government experience (Highly desirable)
