Fixed Income Settlements Officer – Austraclear Experience Essential
Rate: $45 per hour plus super

You will be responsible for coordinating and executing the settlement of Fixed Income DVP and cash trades via Austraclear, managing settlement day functions, and ensuring accurate and timely funding and reconciliation of Fixed Income Currency accounts. This role demands proactive issue resolution, effective communication with internal teams and clients, and strict adherence to risk, compliance, and audit standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute Fixed Income DVP and cash trade settlements in Austraclear
Monitor Austraclear functions throughout the settlement day, identifying and resolving issues promptly
Reconcile and fund Fixed Income Currency accounts accurately and on time
Escalate and follow up on failing or unmatched trades
Reconcile and facilitate intercompany settlements
Liaise regularly with traders, confirmation teams, internal stakeholders, and external clients
Source and manage Static Settlement Instructions (SSI) and counterparty/instrument setups
Professionally resolve trade differences through detailed communication via email and phone
Investigate and resolve nostro and cash breaks related to unmatched ledgers
Complete daily reporting and uphold team controls and procedures
What We’re Looking For:
Demonstrated experience with Austraclear and Fixed Income settlements is essential
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
A control and risk-focused approach to your work
Confidence in escalating issues appropriately to management and trading desks
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
Adaptable attitude with eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
Commitment to working within audit, compliance, and procedural frameworks
