Livestock SA is looking for a new Member & Communications Manager to deliver strategic communications, member engagement activities and management of the CRM database. This role plays a key part in maintaining the organisation’s visibility, supporting advocacy priorities and ensuring high-quality service and information to members. This parental leave position is offered as a full-time, one-year contract.
Role & Responsibilities
... - Deliver Livestock SA’s communications strategy across digital, print and media channels
- Develop and write media releases, newsletters and other communications to engage stakeholders and promote key messages
- Manage social media accounts and maintain the organisation’s website
- Coordinate media opportunities and manage event communications
- Adhere to the organisation’s style guide when producing branded collateral
- Monitor relevant news and policy developments that may impact members
- Prepare communication reports and analytics for the Board and CEO
- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify and create meaningful content
- Manage membership enquiries and support producers with information and services
- Manage and maintain the CRM membership database
- Support recruitment and retention of members through tailored communications
- Manage and distribute membership materials and surveys
- Represent the organisation professionally in dealings with members, media, and stakeholders
- Participate in team meetings, strategic planning, and industry events as required
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated professional experience and qualifications in communications, media, or marketing
- Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy in writing, editing and formatting content
- High-level proficiency with website CMSs, social media platforms, and CRM systems
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of agriculture and rural issues (livestock industry preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships with members, media and partners
- Experience in writing media releases, newsletters and social media posts
- Drivers licence
