As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be the linchpin in our line haul operations, ensuring the smooth and timely flow of goods from dispatch to delivery. You'll work closely with drivers, operations teams, and clients, managing schedules, optimising routes, and swiftly resolving any challenges that arise. This is a critical role that directly impacts our service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule line haul movements, optimising routes and loads for maximum efficiency.
Track and monitor freight in transit, providing real-time updates to relevant stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with drivers, ensuring they have all necessary information and support.
Liaise with clients to provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues.
Manage and process relevant documentation, including permits, and delivery dockets.
Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and prepare reports as required.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in a logistics coordination role, preferably within the transport or freight industry.
Strong understanding of line haul operations and road transport regulations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a calm demeanor under pressure.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Australian geography and road networks is highly regarded.
