Key duties and responsibilities
The Senior Data Developer role will contribute to the technical design and development on one or more projects within the programs. They will be responsible for designing and developing data workflows, Extract Transform & Load (ETL) processes, data warehouse, data lake, data analytics and data visualisation solutions. The Senior Data Developer will actively advise on improvements on processes, products and deployed code. The Senior Data Developer will work with different stakeholders to understand their needs and create solutions to address business problems.
Other duties will include:
- Lead technical design and development of projects
- Design and develop data workflows
- Design and Develop Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes
- Design and develop data warehouse, data lake and database solutions
- Design and develop data visualisation solutions
- Support Agile projects to deliver successfully
- Stakeholder engagement
Technical skills
- Azure stack (including Synapse, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure DB)
- Strong understanding of DevOps or other version control system
- PowerBI
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C# or C++
Essential criteria
- At least 3+ years of experience in Data Development
- Perform detail design based on high level architecture
- Experience in detailed design for data integration on Azure cloud data services including ADLS,SQL DB, data lake Synapse and blob storage
- Proficient with Azure data factory and Azure Event Hub
- Development experience with Power BI (stored procedure, DAX, functions, views)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Exceptional communication skills including written and oral skills
Desirable criteria
1.Experience developing and interfacing with Restful APIs or similar
2.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
3.Experience in data pre-processing, cleaning, and visualization techniques, as well as handling large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
