About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
...Design and deliver high-quality language lessons (e.g., LOTE, ESL, EAL) aligned with the Australian Curriculum and ACT frameworks.
Create an interactive and supportive learning environment that encourages linguistic and cultural exploration.
Utilise communicative approaches to develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Integrate cultural elements to enhance understanding and appreciation of diverse societies.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate instruction to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to promote language learning.
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that celebrate linguistic diversity.
About You:
Qualified Language Teacher with relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor of Education, Master of Teaching) specializing in a language other than English (LOTE) or English as a Second Language (ESL)/English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Current ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration or eligibility to obtain.
Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or eligibility to obtain.
Demonstrated experience teaching the target language(s) to various age groups.
Strong pedagogical knowledge and ability to implement effective language acquisition strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
A genuine passion for languages and fostering intercultural understanding.
