The Role
To be successful in securing this job you will have recent experience as a Contracts Administrator on a mixture of education, health, industrial, retail and residential projects worth $10M and above.The role requires a leader who is conversant with building codes, standards, and build methodologies and has a solutions-driven approach, with the initiative to solve problems and manage conflict, and who is driven by project, personal, team and company success.
Key Responsibilities
- Progress claim assistance, external variations, preparation of subcontractor packages.
- Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising subcontracts.
- Administering RFI’s.
- Preparing subcontract package’s (scopes, procurement and scheduling).
To be Successful:
- Previous experience as a Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator, or in a similar administrative role within the building and construction industry is highly advantageous.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- Exposure to head contract work and scopes.
- Experience in sub contract claims, variations, EOT’s and cost planning.
- Passionate person, with a thirst for challenge and energy to over achieve.
- Proficient in software packages, MS project
- Clear detailed writing skills.
- Can minute projects minutes
- Has experienced in forecasting and budget reports
- Converse with confidence
- Is a team player
- Can explain clearly to contractors what they require.
- Has negotiation skills
