Randstad Senior Finance is proudly partnering with one of Melbourne’s most respected institutions to recruit an experienced Management Accountant for an interim contract. This 3-month opportunity sits within the Financial Planning, Partnering and Advisory team and plays a crucial role in supporting finance operations during a time of major system transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Support
Assist with maintenance of the business’s fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, and adjustments
Investigate fixed asset queries and reconcile asset records to the general ledger
Support audits and reviews through documentation and issue resolution
Management Accounting
Prepare and review journal entries for technical accuracy and completeness
Act as a subject matter expert in Workday journal processing and provide guidance across the team
Investigate financial data discrepancies and execute corrective transactions as needed
Assist with internal transfers and balance date adjustments
FDM Governance
Assess and process FDM change request tickets in alignment with policies and Worktag definitions
Provide advice to stakeholders and support change implementation
Collaborate with the Workday systems team and other governance functions
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with Finance Business Partners, Business Services, and Research Finance teams
Provide timely financial advice and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes
Build collaborative relationships to ensure the success of Workday adoption and ongoing reporting accuracy
About You
You're a technically strong qualified accountant (CA/CPA/CIMA) with Workday experience and a sharp eye for detail. You're someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and takes initiative to improve processes, support your team, and deliver accurate financial outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in a management accounting or fixed asset accounting role
Workday Finance experience (mandatory)
Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large volumes of financial data
Solid time management and prioritisation skills
Strong written communication, including financial documentation
Stakeholder engagement experience across large organisations
A collaborative mindset and solutions-focused approach
