The Role
The Department requires an ICT Identity Integration Specialist to assist with the migration from a custom developed identity system to a commercial off the shelf (COTS) product. The COTS product will serve as an identity orchestration capability that will connect with the Department’s existing IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
... Key duties and responsibilities
This role is ideally suited to a candidate with proven analysis, design and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a technical background and have previously worked on enterprise identity management solutions. The successful candidate will perform the following tasks:
- Confirm all interfaces to the Department’s existing identity management system have been identified.
- Reverse engineer existing C# code to identify how existing technical components interact.
- Working with vendors, drive organisational outcomes that consider the long-term operational impacts to all users of the solution.
- Develop process flows, high level designs and detailed designs in conjunction with the vendor responsible for implementing a new identity orchestration engine.
- Develop relationships with technical stakeholders whose systems interface with the Department’s existing identity management system.
- Develop a relationship with the vendor responsible for implementing a replacement identity management system.
- Facilitate meetings between the vendor and internal technical stakeholders to define requirements, develop designs and resolve technical issues.
Essential criteria
- Proven experience integrating an identity management system with an ERP system to support onboarding and offboarding processes at a medium to large organisation.
- Ability to reverse engineer current code (C#) and configurations to be able to provide a written description of the business process, the actors involved, and how the various technical components interact.
- General infrastructure skills in Active Directory, Entra, Windows infrastructure (e.g. powershell, scheduled tasks, account management etc.)
- Provide experience with Service Bus/Messaging technologies within the Microsoft technology stack.
- Ability to clearly document business process flows, requirements, high level designs, detailed designs, test cases, and other artefacts as required.
- As part of the internal identity team, demonstrated ability to communicate with other technical resources and build relationships such as with the Active Directory and Microsoft Entra teams.
