Randstad Recruitment is supporting an existing partner in the Tier 2 Commercial Construction Sector, seeking a contract HSE Advisor to join the team, completing works across the central & southern Gold Coast regions.
In the role of a HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, and oversee High Risk works on-site, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees & contractors.
Duties:
- Liaise and report with members of project management
- Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox talks
- Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
- Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
- Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
Certification & Experience:
- Vocational or Tertiary qualification in WHS (Minimum Cert IV)
- Open Driver’s License
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
- Previous experience working on Hi-Rise Developments
- Previous experience with direct involvement of on site safety management
- Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
