About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Workforce Planning, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic and evolving team, providing essential operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to help foster a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven culture that truly reflects the spirit of the Games.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including seamless onboarding, probation reviews, performance management, and offboarding processes.
- Facilitate and support recruitment processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with our workforce plans.
- Champion performance management, providing tools and guidance for regular feedback and employee development.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations and people management, supporting issue resolution, workplace culture, and policy compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in strict compliance with the Fair Work Act, WHS legislation, and other relevant employment laws.
- Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace.
- Identify training and development needs, implement learning solutions, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Analyse workforce data and metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic workforce planning, including salary benchmarking and remuneration reviews.
- Maintain people management registers and systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
Skills and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in HR or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a fast-paced environment, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with a track record of consistently meeting deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical, people-focused approach to HR solutions.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to support and promote inclusive workplace practices.
