About the Role
This is a dual-focus position where you'll be the go-to person for all human resources matters while also leading the return-to-work program. You'll play a critical role in attracting, retaining, and developing talent, ensuring the company remains an employer of choice.
Key Responsibilities:
... - HR Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, training, and offboarding. You'll develop and implement HR policies, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws.
- Return to Work Coordination: Manage and coordinate the return to work for injured employees. This involves developing suitable duties plans, liaising with medical professionals and insurers, and providing support to employees throughout their recovery journey.
- Safety and Compliance: Work closely with our operations team to promote a culture of safety. You'll assist with incident reporting and investigations, ensuring all WHS obligations are being met
- Culture & Engagement: Champion our company values and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You'll help organise team events and initiatives that boost morale and foster a sense of community.
About You
We're searching for someone who is not only an expert in HR but also deeply empathetic and organised. You should have a proven track record of managing complex HR issues and a strong understanding of workers compensation legislation.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager, ideally within the transport, logistics, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience as a Return to Work Coordinator, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Workers Compensation Act).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You'll be a trusted advisor to both employees and management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
