This role is a great fit for a generalist HR professional who is comfortable providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of human resources matters. A significant part of this role during your two-month engagement will be assisting with a high volume of recruitment activities. This includes supporting the recruitment of new graduate nurses, allied health professionals, and medical staff in preparation for the 2026 clinical year.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for leaders and employees, offering consistent and appropriate advice on various HR matters.
- Lead and participate in high-level and often complex negotiations related to employee and industrial relations.
- Manage a variety of recruitment, selection, and appointment processes.
- Conduct comprehensive workplace investigations.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders.
- Assist with the resolution of employee grievances.
- Collaborate on hospital committees and projects.
- Produce reports and analyse HR data to inform decisions.
- Play a proactive role in continuous improvement within the HR department.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in human resource management or a related field.
- Exceptional report writing and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to interpret workforce data and use it to recommend strategies and initiatives.
- A proven capacity to identify and implement effective HR solutions to improve organisational performance.
