This role is a hands-on position that supports the daily workforce operations of a large-scale project. You'll be the go-to person for many of the day-to-day needs of the on-site team, ensuring things run smoothly.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will be the primary point of contact for employees, handling their concerns and managing the full grievance process. You'll escalate complex issues to the HR/IR Manager.
- A key part of your job is to ensure that on-site facilities, such as worker lunchrooms and accommodation, meet company standards. You'll also play an important role in promoting a positive work culture by supporting well-being and engagement initiatives
- Liaise with Camp Operators and assist with resolving issues or complaints
- You will assist with a range of administration tasks and reporting, from tracking headcount and turnover to managing the industrial relations Risk Register and assisting with union ROEs (Right of Entry).
- You'll manage logistics for employees who drive in and drive out (DIDO), coordinating bussing and camp operations, including room bookings and on-site inductions.
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in human resources and a proven track record of successful, "hands-on" HR experience. You should be a credible and trusted advisor who can build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Crucially, you'll need:
- Experience within a similar role and environment
- A solid understanding of contemporary HR management and workplace relations
- Experience conducting investigations using best-practice processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
