About the Role
The HR officer will be the primary point of contact for HR and WHS advisory within this Department. You will act as the vital liaison between our agency and other Departments, ensuring stakeholders have the required support. This is a fast paced role requiring a blend of administrative precision, legislative compliance and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory and Support: Provide timely, confidential HR and WHS advice to managers and staff based on policies and relevant instruments.
Liaison and Coordination: Payroll, recruitment, and time/attendance queries, resolving escalations with a focus on positive outcomes.
Data Integrity: Maintain spreadsheets and data to ensure accurate monthly reporting and salary projections.
Mailbox Management: Oversee the HR mailbox, ensuring all correspondence is actioned within KPIs.
Compliance & Records: Manage employee files with the highest level of confidentiality and standards.

We are looking for:
Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
Experience managing workforce data, payroll forms and record keeping systems.
Identify HR issues before they escalate and implement practical solutions.
Previous State Government recruitment experience is highly regarded
