Working Hours & Training
Shift Pattern: 7 working days within a 14-day period.
Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 am – 7:00 pm), including working every second weekend.
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (CBD Location near Southern Cross).
Initial Training: 4–8 weeks of training conducted Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
About the Opportunity
This is a critical opportunity to join a leading financial institution’s Command Centre to ensure the resilience of vital Payments infrastructure. You will serve as the first line of defense, proactively monitoring systems to identify, respond to, and recover from incidents before they impact service levels. This role is pivotal in maintaining Critical Operations Minimum Service Levels and strengthening end-to-end operational resilience through technical expertise and coordinated recovery efforts.
Key Selection Criteria
Technical Systems Knowledge: A diverse understanding of technology systems.
Enterprise Operations: Proven experience working within a large-scale, enterprise technology operations environment.
Payments Expertise: Prior experience working within Payments is highly regarded.
Education: Tertiary or post-graduate qualification in an area such as IT, Data Analytics, Business, or Risk Management.
Operational Resilience: Ability to follow documented procedures for service recovery while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive Monitoring: Actively monitor dashboards to ensure critical system stability and determine impacts to service levels.
Incident Response: Action incident and change tasks, resolving issues at the first level where possible to prevent service escalation.
Technical Recovery: Assist in coordinated recovery via technical phone bridges and escalate to senior management or specialized support teams when required.
Continuous Improvement: Support automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and comply with CPS230 Critical Operations standards.
System Maintenance: Participate in assigned system change and maintenance activities to ensure ongoing reliability.
Collaboration: Cross-skill across functional areas to support wider Command Centre operations.
