Are you a tech-savvy Business Analyst who thrives in the fast-paced world of digital banking and payments?
We are seeking a high-caliber Technical Business Analyst to join a new team working on some exciting projects. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, building, and continuously evolving the next-generation digital card and payment experiences.
You will work on end-to-end in-app capabilities, uplift core processes, and work on future payment innovations, focusing on modern card schemes and secure payment capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical BA, you will bridge the gap between complex payment technology and exceptional customer experience. Your day-to-day will involve:
End-to-End Feature Delivery: Elicit, analyze, and document technical requirements for in-app card management (view, controls, activation, servicing) and credit card functionality (repayments, limits, transfers).
Process Uplift: Map and optimize core backend and customer-facing processes, including lost/stolen card management, reissues, tracking, and cardholder alert/security services.
Future-Proofing Payments: Help design and integrate rewards/loyalty features, simplify multi-card journeys, and lay the foundations for future payment innovations (e.g., Click to Pay, Scan to Pay).
Backlog & Agile Management: Support the Product Owner in continuous backlog prioritization, grooming, and feature delivery within an active Agile delivery squad.
Stakeholder & Technical Translation: Translate complex digital servicing and payment flows into clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications for developers and QA teams.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong blend of technical acumen, payment domain knowledge, and sharp analytical skills.
Essential Criteria:
Banking & Payments Experience: Proven experience as a Technical BA within retail banking, specifically working with cards, credit functionality, or digital wallets.
Card Schemes & Networks: Strong familiarity with major payment network capabilities, transaction routing, and cardholder security systems.
Digital Product Delivery: Track record of delivering end-to-end features for mobile apps or digital servicing platforms.
Strong Technical Literacy: Ability to understand API integrations, system architectures, and complex data flows.
Agile Expertise: Deep experience working within an Agile/Scrum delivery framework, managing backlogs, and writing high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Exceptional Communication: The ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and break down complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
