About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers the opportunity to lead the finance function and ensure the organisation's ongoing financial sustainability and compliance. As Finance Manager, you will provide strategic financial guidance and oversee the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and alignment with funding and regulatory requirements. Your key deliverables will include:
- Leading the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Managing end-of-month processes, financial acquittals, and audits
- Supporting funding applications and compliance reporting
- Overseeing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to the executive team
- Ensuring compliance with ATO, SCHADS, and other regulatory frameworks
- Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors, funders, and government bodies
Ideal Profile
- CPA or CA qualified with demonstrated experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the not-for-profit or community services sector
- Strong understanding of NFP financial compliance and reporting standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Alignment with the values of care, inclusion, and community support
