Field Application Specialist - Medical In Vitro Diagnostics

We are seeking an expert Field Application Specialist to join a high-performing team focused on excellence, performance, and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Victoria Australia (metro), and a key role in ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
Our Client is a well established global leader in equipment and reagents for in-vitro diagnostic testing with solutions that have allowed for the successful monitoring and screening for various diseases and conditions in Oncology, Metabolic disorders & Autoimmune disorders and other rare pathologies.
About the Role
This position provides expert technical support and training to end-users on our clinical equipment and reagents. You will be an integral part of our team, providing both tactical and strategic input to Product & Commercial Management to support the ethical promotion of our products.
You will be responsible for a range of key activities, including:
... - Delivering an outstanding customer experience: Provide high-level support on product applications, including results interpretation and best practices. You will respond swiftly to technical queries, maintain CRM documentation, and proactively engage with customers through site visits and events.
- Driving technical excellence: Lead with science by educating and training both internal and external stakeholders. You will deliver customer training programs, workshops, and in-services to ensure confident product use.
- Collaborating cross-functionally: Partner with Service, Sales, and Commercial teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and unified promotional strategies. You will share insights from the field to help drive continuous improvement across all operations.
- Enabling business growth: Identify emerging product attributes and customer needs to support market expansion and adoption.
- Ensuring operational discipline: Maintain high standards of compliance with all regulatory and internal policies in your training and communications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's or PhD in Immunology or a related field is required. A Bachelor's degree may be considered with extensive related experience in Autoimmunity.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry or research experience is essential.
- Previous experience in a technical support or field application role is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current driver's license, passport, and unrestricted Australian working rights are required.
