Working with the Asset Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining assurance and oversight of the Agency’s protective security practices in line with the SA Security Policy Framework. This position is responsible for identifying and making recommendations to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities through policy and practice changes across various sites.
Working closely with key stakeholders, you will ensure common approaches to risk management, policy development and implementation of compliance reporting. An integral focus of the role is to oversee the assurance of agency security operations and contribute to its strategic direction and develop a strong security culture.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Undertake detailed analysis of agency Security Reviews (including site inspections) and rank capital works in priority by agreed criteria and risk matrix
- Prepare Project Plans and undertake procurement and management of approved security works
- Assess and report on the physical maturity of Agency’s operational sites against the SA Security Framework (SAPSF) and recommend measures for improvement
- Ensure policy and operational documents comprising the agency Protective Security Governance Framework are current, and developed in accordance with established risk management standards and business requirements.
- Manage the implementation and delivery of the agency security function and training.
- Perform quality assurance assessments of the agency’s protective security functions in accordance with PSPF guidance.
- Comply with agency risk management framework and relevant legislation to achieve risk strategies
Ideally you will:
- Previous experience in facilities security practices and knowledge of SAPSF would be advantageous
- Exceptional communication skills and demonstrate your ability to convey a message succinctly with a variety of stakeholders
- Have a demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with all legislative and policy requirements with a proactive and responsible attitude towards the identification and management of risk.
