We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected secondary school in Chadstone, Victoria. This school is seeking a dedicated and passionate English and Humanities teacher to join their collaborative faculty. This is a full-time, ongoing position with a start date in October 2025.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing engaging and dynamic lessons to students in Years 7-9. The school is looking for a teacher who can foster a love of learning and critical thinking in a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
...Planning and delivering engaging lessons in English and Humanities, adhering to the Victorian Curriculum.
Assessing student work and providing meaningful feedback to support academic growth.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and teaching strategies.
Actively contributing to the school's vibrant co-curricular program and community life.
About You
The successful candidate will be a compassionate and innovative teacher with a strong command of their subject areas. You must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or be eligible to obtain registration.
Essential criteria:
Current VIT registration.
Demonstrated experience teaching English and Humanities at the junior secondary level (Years 7-9).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
A commitment to student wellbeing and a positive approach to classroom management.
