Are you a highly organised and proactive Engineering & Projects Planner ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Our clients based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne are seeking a skilled professional to lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of critical capital projects and maintenance activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with food safety and GMP standards.

What You'll Do:
- Project Leadership: Develop detailed project plans, schedule works to minimize production disruption, and ensure alignment with hygiene and zoning requirements.
- Maintenance Optimisation: Plan and schedule preventative maintenance using CMMS, coordinate shutdowns, and develop standard maintenance plans for critical equipment.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all engineering activities meet food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF) and site safety policies.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and external contractors, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identify opportunities, and support root cause investigations.
What You'll Bring:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
- 3-5 years' experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and CMMS (MEX, SAP, Pronto).
- Project management training (PMP, PRINCE2) and experience in chilled/frozen/high-care food facilities would be an advantage
- Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and hygiene principles.
- Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
