Randstad HR Partners is representing an Australian household name for an experienced Employee Relations (‘ER’) Consultant ready to tackle complex challenges and drive positive change within a leading organisation. This is a 9 month assignment where you will be joining an ER team of 5-8 to manage a diverse range of complex ER matters from end-to-end and be a key point of escalation for the organisation’s Senior Advisory team.
... Responsibilities include but are not limited:
- Manage complex ER matters, i.e., ER litigation up to conciliation/conference (e.g., Unfair Dismissals, General Protections claims, Stop Bullying, and Stop Sexual Harassment orders).
- Oversee workplace grievances and investigations, addressing concerns related to bullying, harassment, discrimination, racism, vilification, and victimisation.
- Lead disciplinary processes for behavioural/conduct concerns, from informal conversations to formal actions, including termination of employment.
- Provide essential guidance and coaching to leaders in managing performance concerns.
- Manage cases involving employees on long-term sick leave.
- Act as a crucial point of escalation for Advisors and Senior Advisors within the Senior Advisory team, offering guidance and coaching as needed.
- Collaborate on ad-hoc projects such as providing training to leaders, reviewing policies and collateral, and regularly reviewing case management processes and documents.
- Partner and work with key stakeholders in the business including P&C and COEs.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years of experience providing ER advice within a fast-paced, large organisation.
- Proven experience in conducting conciliations in the FWC or other employment tribunals.
- Practical experience in conducting workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, and terminations.
- Previous experience in managing multiple stakeholders across different parts of the organisation with varying degrees of experience in managing ER matters.
