Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Electrical Project Coordinator within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance, this permanent opportunity is available.
The Electrical Project Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and coordinating electrical projects at our client’s underground mine site. This includes planning, scheduling, resource management, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage range of electrical projects in both surface and underground operations
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Liaise with key project stakeholders including engineering, operations, and maintenance teams
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Contractor management and team leadership
- Prepare project reports and documentation
- Manage project documentation and records
- Assist with procurement and material management for projectsaS
The successful candidate will possess:
- Minimum 3+ years experience coordinating brownfield capital projects within an underground mining environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning processes
- Previous experience with control systems
- Previous experience in HV switching and operations would be advantageous
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Proficient in project management software (SAP)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Electrical trade qualifications and a valid driver's license
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
- Highly technical and detailed
- Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
