Are you an experienced planning and scheduling professional who wants to make an impact on a national scale by driving integrated delivery across a major reform program?
I am currently partnering with a prominent Federal Government client in the disability sector, with an exciting and specialised role for an EL1 Program Planner / Scheduler. This is a critical role within the Program Delivery / PMO branch, offering a collaborative hybrid working environment.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for integrated planning, scheduling, and delivery oversight across the NFP program. You will ensure the seamless alignment of timelines, dependencies, and resources across multiple delivery streams to support informed executive decision-making and build delivery confidence. This role includes supervisory responsibilities, allowing you to lead and develop planning capabilities within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, align project timelines across NFP streams, and identify critical paths, dependencies, and risks.
- Program Coordination: Coordinate planning cycles, facilitate planning workshops, and ensure strict alignment between planning, reporting, and delivery.
- Reporting & Insights: Provide schedule-based insights, highlight delivery risks or slippage impacts, and support executive-level reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage delivery leads and Project Managers across various streams to foster collaboration and integrated planning.
- Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and develop planning capability while ensuring the quality and consistency of team outputs.
Ideally you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated master schedules in complex, multi-program environments (i.e. established experience as a Master Scheduler, not solely as a Project Manager).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (or equivalent scheduling tools).
- Strong expertise in dependency management, critical path analysis and schedule risk management.
- Ability to synthesise complex schedule data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on data quality and schedule integrity.
- Formal qualifications or equivalent experience in project/program management, scheduling, or a related discipline.
