A major Australian Bank is seeking an experienced EDW Data Engineer to join their dynamic data platform team in Sydney. This critical role supports a major cloud migration initiative, moving the bank's enterprise data warehouse capabilities to Azure PaaS.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and batch integrations for large-scale, business-critical environments using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Contribute significantly to the migration from on-premises EDW (Teradata/Informatica) to the Azure PaaS platform.
Implement and leverage Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated and serverless) for enterprise data warehousing solutions.
Apply best practices in dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas) and ensure data quality throughout the lifecycle.
Collaborate within an Agile squad environment, providing technical documentation and mentoring junior team members.
Must-Have Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouse (EDW) platforms, specifically Teradata and Informatica.
Expertise in complex SQL development and Teradata performance tuning.
Proven hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory (ADF) orchestration.
Deep knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
Experience working on cloud migration projects (on-premises to Azure).
Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical documentation.
Desirable Attributes
Experience working with Big Data technologies such as PySpark within modern data ecosystems.
