We're searching for a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to nurture and guide the babies room at a community-based, not-for-profit early learning centre in Notting Hill, Victoria. The role is a parental leave contract for 12 months with the potential for extension. This role will be 4 days a week working a rotating roster between 7.30am and 6.30pm. You will be paid above award wages.

What you'll bring to the babies room
... - Lead with expertise: Guide the planning and programming for up to 8 babies, ensuring alignment with national standards and the centre’s educational philosophy
- Mentor and inspire: Support the team to deliver exceptional early childhood education, model best practices, and foster a positive, supportive work culture
- Nurture growth: Implement engaging educational programs, monitor children's progress, and champion their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Build strong connections: Collaborate with management, engage actively with families, and ensure the centre meets the highest safety and compliance standards
We're looking for someone who is
- Diploma qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent or higher)
- A proven Room Leader, ready to showcase their experience
- Deeply understands the EYLF and best early childhood practices
- Skilled in achieving targets and meeting safety and compliance standards
- An excellent communicator, able to connect genuinely with children, families, the community, and the team by building effective relationships
- Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to fostering a culture of responsiveness, integrity, and respect
- Able to demonstrate the values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights
