Role Overview:
This role is working within the Department's BAU reporting team - it is more of a "data processor" than it is a data analyst or data entry position. This role has an emphasis on being strong with Microsoft Excel (including Macro's, pivot tables, graphs etc) and Microsoft VBA. You'll be collecting financial data from a variety of sources and using Excel workbooks.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake data collection and provide operational performance data and analysis reports, on monthly/annual scheduled and ad-hoc, as required for internal and external stakeholders, on service delivery outcomes in line with service level agreements.
- Use Microsoft VBA and Excel for reviewing and maintaining performance and strategic data sourced from multiple information systems including Service Now, SAP ECC6 and Time-sheet / Job Costing applications.
- Assist with research, analysis and investigating financial management issues and identifying design and implementation options in the development, and maintenance of data management information systems, processes and procedures for performance reporting thorough analysis of performance and statistical data.
- Develop and maintain positive, constructive relationships with clients and other stakeholders to ensure services are responsive to current needs and future service direction.
- Engage in continuous self-learning, sharing knowledge with team members contributing to improved team capability and performance.
- Contribute to accountable, fair, and safe work environment embracing human resource management practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination, and performance management.
- Undertake all work deliverables to the highest standards, internal quality assurance methods, frameworks, and data integrity.
Required Skills:
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including Macro's, pivot tables, graphs etc)
- Strong Microsoft VBA skills
- Analytical, and problem-solving skills
Beneficial but not required:
- Knowledge of information systems including Service Now, SAP ECC6 and Time-sheet / Job Costing applications.
- Knowledge in using SAP ECC6 Financial Modules and experience in, or ability to acquire, SAP BW to develop and enhance processes.
- Experience working with Financial data.
- Government experience.
