Deliverables:
- Design, build and implement data observability and analytics tooling and systems
- Develop, implement and maintain data observability practices and procedures for the purposes of test & evaluation, risk reduction and experimentation activities.
- Provide analysis and advice to enhance and optimise data observation, exploitation and management within representative networks and systems; including root cause analysis.
- Provide SME technical advice and assistance to staff and supported elements
- Conduct close collaboration. Validation teams and Engineering Management to deploy and maintain experimental systems; contributing towards future architectural decisions.
- Support DevSecOps and Automation elements by incorporating data observability tooling and configurations for test activity preparation and building.
- Provide technical support, activities and trials for role specific technologies and systems.
- Deliver just in time training and actively mentor ADF personnel during periods of instruction during activities.
- Provide support to innovation proposals and integration of other deployable systems.
- Provide written and oral reports from test events, and post activity assessments.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to developing capabilities
- Apply the APS code of conduct and principles of Equity and Diversity, Industrial Democracy and WH&S and all other applicable policies.
Required:
- Extensive experience in Data Observation and Analytics
- Extensive experience with Linux based systems, primarily with Red Hat based operating systems.
- Relevant experience in developing/employing DevSecOps systems (CI/CD pipelines, GitLab)
- Proficiency in code languages & scripts – Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, C, C++, etc.
- Proficiency in API development, configuration and integration
- Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualisation (KVM, VMware).
- Experience supporting government projects, preferably with NV1/NV2 clearance.
- Familiarity with integrating emerging technologies into secure infrastructure.
- Clearance: NV1 or higher (mandatory for access to classified systems).
