Randstad has been engaged by a local government organisation to recruit a Coordinator Statutory Planning to cover a backfill during a permanent recruitment process. This is a full-time contract position at Band 8 level, and the successful candidate will be encouraged to apply for the ongoing role.

Key responsibilities:
Lead and support a team of statutory planners, ensuring efficient service delivery aligned with relevant legislation and local policy
Manage complex planning and subdivision applications
Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on planning matters
Contribute to the improvement of planning processes and the delivery of high-quality development outcomes
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for decision-makers
What we’re looking for:
Strong knowledge of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and related planning legislation
Demonstrated experience in statutory planning, including leadership or coordination responsibilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver timely, accurate outcomes
Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline
