As the Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering civil construction and maintenance projects on time and within budget. Oversee the delivery of civil construction and maintenance projects from planning through to completion.
Lead and coordinate construction supervisors, engineers, field crews, and subcontractors.
Develop detailed project scopes, delivery schedules, cost estimates, and procurement plans.
Ensure all construction activities comply with client requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Monitor project performance, including budget tracking, progress reporting, and variation management.
Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Manage resource allocation including labour, plant, and materials.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox meetings.
Participate in and support tendering, estimating, and financial reporting activities.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures and policies.
Lead, mentor, and support your team, including performance reviews and workforce planning.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil construction, with at least 8 years in a senior management or project leadership role.
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent (preferred).
Demonstrated experience in road construction, drainage, concrete works, and council/VicRoads standards.
Strong financial and commercial management skills, including experience with cost control, invoicing, and variations.
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Sound knowledge of mobile plant operations, construction safety, and environmental compliance.
Leadership experience managing supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.
Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Lead diverse and impactful civil projects with a professional and motivated team.
