Compliance and Parking Administration Officer
Are you a highly organised administration professional with a passion for customer service and a knack for applying policy? The organisation is seeking a dedicated Compliance and Parking Administration Officer to provide vital business support and expert advice within our Corporate, Business and Financial Services Division.
About the Role
This crucial role provides a high-level of customer service and business support to all stakeholders. You'll be assisting the Compliance Administration Team and the Parking Administration Team.
Key areas of responsibility include:
...- Customer Service: Providing customer service that is timely, responsive, courteous and helpful.
- Administration: Assisting with core branch functions, including processing Infringement Notices , administering animal registration , processing and issuing Local Laws permits/licences , and issuing all Parking Permits.
- Specialist Advice: Providing information and specialist advice to customers on services provided by the Branch and Council.
- Appeals & Prosecutions: Administering and making decisions on parking infringement appeals/internal reviews in line with established criteria and legislative requirements. You will also assist in the administration of court prosecutions.
- Office Support: Providing high-level business support, including logging requests, preparation of correspondence, memos, and minutes.
This position is directly accountable for providing business support for the Unit and high-quality customer service.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency across several key selection criteria:
- Administration Experience: Experience in providing effective administration support with proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and relevant applications.
- Policy and Legislation: Knowledge or experience in applying Local Law permits, other legislation or company policies to decision making and in providing advice to stakeholders.
- Workload Management: Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks, being able to prioritise and manage a busy workload.
- Customer Focus: A strong commitment to excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Conflict Resolution: Proven conflict management skills to assist in dispute resolution.
- Teamwork: Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
Experience in Local Government is desirable but not essential.
