About the role
Manage onsite commissioning of power generation facilities, HV electrical systems, gas energy systems and BESS integration to power plants. Ensure testing and commissioning on projects are delivered according to project scope and schedule across EPC projects.
Responsibility
- Manage commissioning procedures, quality assurance plans, and testing
- Provide technical oversight and compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Direct involvement in the planning and supervision of complex testing activities, facilitating site-based commissioning, and managing technical queries during project execution.
- Streamline commissioning workflows, contribute to the development of completion packages, and smooth project handovers.
- Experience in HV electrical systems, HV switching,
- BESS project integration to power plant
- Hazardous areas, and power system engineering
- Control systems, integration of relays, protection devices, SCADA systems
- Commissioning procedures, ITPs, ITRs, and quality assurance documentation
- Coordinating FAT, SAT, and systems validation, ensuring compliance with design and operational requirements
- Testing and validation of systems, full spectrum of system testing of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
- Resolve technical issues, manage design changes during commissioning, maintaining project timelines and regulatory compliance
- Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and handover packages for client delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering degree.
- Suitable level of industry experience in power generation or related heavy industry (Oil & Gas or Mining) Aligned with the construction commissioning and testing.
- Technical experience of testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning Power generation plant and equipment.
- Success in Commissioning roles, comfortable with both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Effective Workplace Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
