About the Opportunity
As the Commercial Analyst, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance Strategy, and Projects. This is more than just a traditional accounting position, this is a dynamic and commercial role designed for a professional who is
passionate about using financial insights to drive business strategy. You will move beyond standard
reporting to partner with various departments on key projects, analyse commercial programs that impact
members across the nation, and play an integral part in the evolution of a high-performing finance team.
Your keydeliverables will include:
- Support annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles, working closely with business unit leaders.
- Prepare insightful monthly management reports, providing clear variance analysis and commentary to key stakeholders.
- Act as a true business partner to non-finance departments, offering decision support and commercial insights.
- Lead and support a range of cross-functional projects, from deep-diving into national member programs to analysing billing systems and supporting new implementations.
- Use your data analytics skills to translate complex financial information into actionable intelligence for the wider business.
- Measure business performance, analysing both financial results and non-financial indicators to identify and recommend strategic initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial and non-financial systems, and reporting processes.
Ideal Profile
- CA/CPA qualified, coupled with 5+ years of experience in a FP&A or Commercial Analyst role.
- Strong foundation in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Demonstrated experience and desire working on projects that extend beyond traditional finance.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence a range of
- stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential,
- and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly advantageous.
