Cloud Security Solutions Architect | Melbourne | 6-Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Solutions Architect to join a leading enterprise on a 6-month contract. This role is focused on designing secure, scalable solutions across cloud platforms, with an emphasis on real-world security challenges such as securing critical integrations between GCP, AWS and Azure and enterprise applications like SAP.

The Role

• Design and deliver cloud security solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments

• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to embed secure-by-design practices in new and existing projects

• Provide hands-on expertise to secure cloud integrations (e.g., securing connections between AWS-hosted payment platforms and on-premise/SaaS systems such as SAP)

• Develop reusable security patterns and reference architectures for hybrid and multi-cloud environments

• Advise on security architecture, governance, and compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Essential 8, CPS 234)

• Support DevSecOps initiatives, embedding controls into CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments

About You

• Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect with end-to-end design responsibility

• Strong hands-on background in cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Demonstrated ability to design security solutions across multi-cloud environments (ideally with exposure to all three major providers)

• Solid understanding of network security, IAM, encryption, secure APIs, and hybrid connectivity

• Experience advising on secure architectures for complex enterprise systems, particularly payments, ERP, and SaaS integrations

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSK, SABSA, or cloud platform security certifications highly regarded
