Technical skills:

Software Experience Desired: Cloud platforms: Azure (as applicable), Cost management tools: Azure Cost Management, etc. Reporting tools: Power BI, Excel


Essential Criteria:

• Monitoring and Analysing cloud in particular for Azure spend.
• Identifying cost anomalies and trends and providing root cause analysis.
• Recommending appropriate cost optimisation strategies (e.g. rightsizing, reservation purchasing, autoscaling).
• Input to development of appropriate governance frameworks (including policies and guardrails for cost control)
• Leading FinOps reviews and cost optimisation workshops with key internal/external stakeholders
• Working with key directors to create, manage and report on cloud budgets.
• Developing and maintaining cost forecasting models based on usage patterns and business requirements.
• Developing and maintaining dashboards using appropriate tools and software.

Desirable criteria

• Azure fundamentals certification
• Azure Solutions Architect certification
• Cost Professional certification (AACE, PMP etc)
• Vocational certification in modern development certifications (Microsoft, Azure, AWS, etc) and modern technology approaches including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, PRINCE2/PMBOK are highly desirable.
• FinOps Certified (Engineer, Practitioner or Professional)
