The role:
At Randstad, our Candidate Managers play a key role in supporting recruitment outcomes by delivering exceptional candidate care and driving high-quality service behind the scenes. You'll be part of our high-performing Trades and Labour team in Canberra, working closely with recruiters and clients to ensure the right people are placed in the right roles.
This position would suit someone who has had exposure to recruitment or comes from a high-volume customer service or administration background-particularly where compliance, process, and strong relationship skills have been essential.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the recruitment team with end-to-end candidate management, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintaining accurate candidate records and ensuring all compliance checks are completed in line with industry standards.
- Building strong relationships with candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Assisting with job ads, shortlisting, and matching candidates to suitable roles.
- Liaising with clients and contractors to coordinate placements and resolve queries promptly.
- Working at pace to support a team placing skilled labour across multiple job sites.
What we're looking for:
- Prior experience in recruitment, HR support, or a high-volume customer service/admin environment.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence managing compliance and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-you enjoy building rapport with people.
- A team player who's proactive, organised, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
