The Opportunities
We are building a talent pool for several key roles. By expressing your interest, you’ll be first in line for upcoming temporary and permanent vacancies in the following areas:
...Rates Officer: Manage property database maintenance, process rate payments, and handle complex billing inquiries with a high level of accuracy.
Admin Officer: Provide high-level clerical support, coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and act as a professional first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Records Officer: Ensure compliance with the State Records Act, manage digital and physical archiving, and assist staff with EDRMS (Objective/Content Manager) workflows.
- Customer Service Officer: Act as the "face of Council," handling high-volume enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face counters while resolving community requests efficiently.
What You Bring to the Table
To be successful in these roles, you must possess:
Previous Local Government Experience: A solid understanding of Council operations, policies, and community service standards.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Council-specific software (e.g., TechnologyOne, Authority, Pathway, or Civica).
Adaptability: The ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced public sector environment.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with a "customer-first" mindset.
