Business Support Officer, Permanent Position.

What is a Business Support Officer?
A Business Support Officer is a crucial administrative professional who keeps an organisation running smoothly. This role acts as a central hub, providing essential administrative, office, and sometimes even financial support to various departments. They are often the first point of contact for the company and are expected to be highly organised, proactive, and reliable.
The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and office support duties, including:
Rate: $38-$42 an hour. Dependent on experience
Hours: 25 hours a week, Mon-Fri, Great for working parents, Uni students etc.
... - Providing daily administration support for organisational departments. This includes tasks such as data entry , reporting , and filing/archiving.
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls , and addressing all inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Managing diaries and meetings calendars , as well as booking travel and accommodation for site teams.
- Assisting with minor accounting duties such as invoicing and managing debtors (training will be provided).
- Maintaining office supplies, equipment, and managing general office housekeeping.
- Supporting with HR tasks, including recruitment, screening, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Assisting with the coordination of staff mobilisation and PPE for new starters.
- Ensuring confidentiality when handling company data.
- Speaking with clients and showing them the entry into the warehouse and offices when needed.
- Ad hoc admin/office duties
Key Requirements:
- DESIRED Certificate IV in Business Administration, or a similar qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar administration or business support role
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills , with a friendly and professional disposition.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A current Driver’s Licence is essential.
- Experience in commercial contracts, projects, and/or the Mining and Oil & Gas Industry is desirable.
