Location: Brisbane, QLD
We are seeking a highly experienced and project-minded SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst to support a major ERP transformation program. This is a critical role within the Services for Brisbane Modern ERP Program, specifically focused on the S/4HANA Payroll stream of work.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large HR/Payroll migration and transformation projects, a strong understanding of service delivery, and be goal and outcome-driven.
The Role: You will be responsible for supporting the design, build, and deployment of the S/4HANA HR/Payroll solution using the SAP Activate Methodology. This role requires you to identify and analyze all aspects of the HR/Payroll process, functional, data migration, and integration scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define payroll system requirements.
- Analyze and document payroll business processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Assist in designing time and leave workflows and ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.
- Work with technical teams to validate data migration and integration with other systems.
- Review and validate the System Integrator's functional designs and configuration (schemas, PCRs, wage types).
- Identify gaps or risks in proposed solutions and challenge deviations from current-state payroll behavior.
- Support testing and deployment through test case support, UAT, and issue resolution.
- Provide training and documentation for teams and end-users.
What You'll Bring (Mandatory & Required Skills):
- A minimum of 10 years’ SAP experience with a high level of proficiency in time and leave processes and configuration.
- A strong understanding of time and leave processes, including contingent labour, and system integrations.
- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to deliver system designs that focus on exceptional end-user experience.
- The ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with vendors and working collaboratively with client stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly developed written skills for documentation, communications, and presentations.
- A strong delivery focus and a highly organized approach.
- High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Highly Desirable Skills:
- Experience in large multi-release program operations.
- HR/Payroll operational experience or application support experience.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodologies and/or a certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA).
