SAP S/4HANA Payroll Business Analyst – ERP Transformation Program

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Payroll Business Analyst to join a major enterprise transformation program within a large and complex public sector organisation. This role will play a pivotal part in the design, build, and deployment of a modern ERP solution focused on HR and Payroll functionality.
As a key member of the ERP program team, you will work closely with stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to ensure the successful delivery of SAP S/4HANA Payroll capabilities. You’ll help shape business processes, validate data migration and integrations, support user acceptance testing, and guide business readiness activities.

... - Analyse and document payroll processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Assist in the design of compliant payroll solutions aligned with Australian regulations.
- Support test case development, UAT coordination, and issue resolution.
- Validate payroll data migration and integrations with other SAP modules and systems.
- Contribute to parallel payroll runs and post-go-live stabilisation efforts.
- Liaise with change and business readiness teams to support training and adoption.
- Act as a key bridge between functional, technical, and operational teams.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst focused on SAP Payroll, HR, or related enterprise systems.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP HCM sub-modules including Payroll, Time Management, PA, and OM.
- Proven experience in large payroll transformation or migration projects.
- Understanding of payroll outsourcing, regulatory compliance, and system integrations.
- Skilled in process mapping, documentation, and workshop facilitation.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology preferred.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Business analysis certification (e.g. CBAP, CCBA) desirable.

- Location: Brisbane CBD (Hybrid – 60% onsite)
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week
