As a valued member of the Randstad Aged Care team, you will provide essential support to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents. You will have the convenience of picking up shifts through our user-friendly app, directly assisting facilities with covering staffing needs.
What You'll Be Doing:
... Assisting residents with their personal care needs, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
Assisting residents with meals and fluids, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Observing and reporting any changes in a resident's condition or behaviour to the nursing staff.
Assisting with basic observations such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, as directed by nursing staff.
Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including assisting with bed making and tidying resident areas.
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
Assisting with activities of daily living and encouraging resident participation in social and recreational activities.
Adhering to facility policies and procedures, including infection control and safety guidelines.
Working collaboratively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals.
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Need:
Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or an equivalent qualification.
Demonstrated experience (paid or unpaid) providing personal care, preferably within an aged care setting in Australia.
A genuine passion for caring for residents and a commitment to providing person-centered care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with residents, families, and staff.
The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
A current and valid National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required).
A willingness to obtain a current Influenza vaccination (annual renewal required).
Willingness to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations as required by facility policies.
